Amsterdam has a new landmark. The opening of Q Residences took place on Monday 12 December.
On the plaza between Quartz and Qube, Piet Oudolf and Deltavormgroep placed an attractive interplay of herbaceous plants, ornamental grasses, shrubs and trees in the steel-bounded gardens.
The homes of Qube, the low-rise building of Q Residences, are finished and ready for rental. Anyone who has previously indicated an interest in a home is invited to confirm this interest. Others who have not previously expressed their interest can also register with one of the realtors.
After reaching the highest point of Quartz, contractor JP van Eesteren immediately continued with the installation of the graceful, undulating facade elements. These elements give Quartz its beautiful character.
Arcam, the centre for architecture in Amsterdam, tipped Q Residences as one of the 10 projects to watch out for in 2022.
